Why We Invested in Vallor

Co-leading a $4M Seed Round with Bloomberg Beta

We're excited to have Antonio Gonclaves and Jake Vollkommer join the Dynamo portfolio and become part of our family of founders.

Vallor is an AI-native platform that helps companies automate supplier contract management. The company is focused on serving enterprise and mid-market clients who have a sizable base of suppliers and as a result acutely feel the pain of handling and reviewing documents/contracts. Over time, Vallor is expanding to add key capabilities such as RFP management, supplier renewals, and automated rebate management to more holistically serve the needs of their customers.

Our investment in Antonion, Jake and the Vallor team was centered around:

  1. Differentiated approach into procurement workflows. Vallor's innovation targets post-contract management, automating the traditionally time-consuming process of contract review. Beyond time efficiency, Vallor identifies cost-saving opportunities by flagging clauses for potential renegotiation.We believe Vallor can expand into contract renewal and RFP capabilities, which will increase customer retention and grow average contract values alongside the delivered cost savings.
  2. Data flywheel effect opportunity. Vallor is launching with a robust proprietary dataset, jumpstarting the data flywheel needed to fine-tune its model. This not only powers its current capabilities - delivering differentiated value to customers but also paves the way for future, more sophisticated functionalities, as outlined above. Our belief is that it is essential for AI-native approaches to access and aggregate unique data sets in order to ensure long-term competitive edge.
  3. Ambitious team with relevant, complementary skillsets. Antonio and Jake have demonstrated a tenacity we believe will serve them well in the journey to build a big business, evident in the significant strides they've made on both the product and commercial fronts since we originally met them. Antonio’s experience in procurement at Microsoft combined with Jake’s technical background in AI and B2B SaaS, positions them well to take on this space. Their dynamic is bolstered by an enduring, years-long friendship, which will help them shoulder the long road ahead as co-founders.
